UPG = Unreached People Group

Unreached People Groups (UPGs) are distinct cultural groups with so few Christ-followers they need outside help to spread the good news about Jesus within the people group. Most of the people in these groups have never heard about the saving power and love of Jesus Christ. Technically, a group is defined as unreached if less than 2% of the group are evangelical Christians.

According to JoshuaProject.net, over 3 billion people are unreached.

Almost every international base accepting accompanied tours is surrounded by thousands (if not millions) of people from UPGs. For example, the Japanese people are the 2nd largest unreached people group in the world. What an amazing opportunity to make a difference for eternity!

You can discover more information and data about specific unreached people groups around the world at joshuaproject.net or specifically in North America at upgnorthamerica.com. Keep scrolling to check out UPGs near military bases.
